Opera is a browser with an interesting history. Started as software with its own core and technologies, it was sold to a Chinese company and switched to the same technical base as Google's browser.
If you miss the old Opera browser or are afraid that your data will end up in China and on data lists, you have to look for alternatives for Opera, the following are very interesting:
- Firefox – the makers of Firefox assure that they will take all reasonable measures to protect the privacy of their users. Firefox also includes all the features you would want for a smooth browsing experience and is incredibly fast.
- Brave – this is a browser that is based on the same technical foundation as Google's browser, with the difference that Brave places a great emphasis on privacy.
- Google Chrome – Google's browser. Fast, slim, easy to use and compatible with all modern websites. The only drawback is the privacy risk, as it is widely known on the Internet.
- Microsoft Edge – this browser powered by Chrome belongs to Microsoft. The program is frequently updated and gets many helpful features. It is pre-installed on the Windows operating system.
- Apple Safari – Apple's browser should not be missing from this list either. Unfortunately, this latest browser can only be used on Apple devices, although it has all the necessary features and strong website compatibility.
I use Google Chrome only for complex web applications, because this browser is the most powerful on the market and has very good compatibility. For all other tasks, I use Firefox, and sometimes Brave. I especially like Opera because it has a free VPN integrated.
