Every person living in a civilized world has some important basic rights. The state must ensure that these rights are respected and protected in order to be able to call itself a constitutional state:

  1. Right to free expression
Freedom of speech is the right to express oneself freely, without fear of persecution. It is a basic human right that should not be taken away from anyone. Without freedom of expression, people would have no way to express their opinion about anything. If someone does something wrong, they could be punished, but if they say something bad about someone else, they could get in trouble.
  2. Right to vote
The right to vote gives you the ability to select who governs you. You may think you don't care who governs things, but in fact you do. When you vote, you are voting for the person who decides what happens to you and your family.
  3. Right to bear arms
This is a controversial topic, but I believe that everyone has the right to own guns. There is nothing wrong with owning a gun. Guns protect us from criminals and keep us safe. However, some countries take away our right to bear arms.
  4. Right to privacy
Privacy means being able to control what others know about you. In today's world, we share a lot of information online. We use social networks, emails, and search engines. People can find out a lot about you by looking at what you post online.
  5. Right to food
Everyone deserves access to enough nutritious food to eat well. Everyone should have the right to buy, sell, and trade food. Food should be affordable and accessible to all.
Famine should not exist in this world.
  6. Right to education
Education is the foundation of a free society. A country that does not educate its citizens cannot function properly. Education gives people knowledge and skills that help them succeed in life.
  7. Right to health care
Health care is a fundamental right. No one should go bankrupt because they need medical treatment. Everyone has the right to quality health care.
