Many business people have a misconception about how to send newsletters in modern marketing. Nowadays, email communication for business purposes is called "email marketing" and is a billion-dollar market!

Email marketing is still one of the best ways to reach business contacts and sell solutions!

According to the Direct Marketing Association (DMA), email marketing is responsible for nearly three-quarters of all e-commerce sales in the United States. In fact, $52 billion was generated from online purchases in 2017.

The first step in creating a newsletter template is choosing the right tool. There is special software that allows you to create and send newsletters. Such software is offered as a web app and can be conveniently used in a browser.

Good web apps for professional emailing are:

  • GetResponse is an American company that offers more than just tools for emailing. At GetResponse, there are landing pages for sign-up forms that help to build the recipient list quickly.
  • AWeber was one of the first email marketing tools. To this day, AWeber has stayed true to its core business and is a very reliable partner when it comes to sending emails.
  • CleverReach is a German provider that sends emails very reliably and also supports full automation of sending. The price is also very good.

I would recommend either CleverReach or GetResponse for starters. Both tools are inexpensive and have all the features you need for your newsletter campaigns, even at the cheapest rate.

Once you've decided on a tool, the next step is to decide what information you want to share with your audience. Think about who your target audience is and what they are interested in.

Do you want to inform them about upcoming events? Or would you rather provide them with helpful tips on how to improve their lives? Once you know who your ideal customer is, it's time to start thinking about content ideas.

After you've created your newsletter template and determined your content, it's finally time to send it out to your business contacts. Create a schedule for sending out the newsletter, and make sure you send it out to all recipients at least once a week so they don't forget about you.
